5.19.11, Low Carb Diet Journal

I began my day with a bottle of water and continued to drink it throughout the day.

I had my leftover burrito for my lunch and popped it into the microwave to warm it up. While it was warming up, I grabbed a cucumber and sliced it into bite sized pieces, thoroughly enjoying my lunch. I grabbed a chocolate covered strawberry and did not want another one because it was made with milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate.

My husband took a couple of ribeye steaks out of the freezer for our dinner. He started the barbecue and then he seasoned the steaks with Montreal Steak seasoning. He steamed some asparagus for us and when I got ready to add mayonnaise to them, I discovered we did not have any of our homemade mayonnaise made. I added some commercial mayo that we had in our refrigerator to the top of my asparagus and finished half of my steak, saving the other half for lunch the following day.

Bowflex and Callanetics were scheduled for me but I was too tired to get either one of them done.

The Little Pair of Jeans are Mine!

I was working on the laundry this afternoon when I realized that the little pair of jeans I was folding, were mine! I am the mother of three adult children, two of them girls, and I have been folding little jeans for the last twenty six years even though they did not belong to me.

I am so happy that I found an eating and exercise program that works this well for me!

Pictures - Current, 9.19.10

My husband and I went to a car show in the Bay Area on Saturday. He was taking pictures of the cars and motorcycles, and he was able to catch a few of me too. I feel so weird wanting pictures of me, but I regret not taking very many when I began this way of eating.

We met my brother-in-law and sister-in-law at the show and she looked slim and pretty. She told me that she is not eating anything special but she is walking and doing Pilates. I have been working on my weight for the last two and a half years and I like my exercise program too. I will admit that I am satisfied with the way that I look right now because I have not been this small in a very long time.

Since I do not know what weight I will be when I get to my goal, the scale continues to be my way of keeping records. Click here to continue reading, or leave a comment »

Progress Report - August 2010

I have been extremely happy with the progress I am making while getting myself fit and healthy. I continue to follow CALP and even though I am allowed to eat three to four times a day, I am still satisfied with two. Of course, if I consider my two cups of black coffee that I drink every morning as my first meal of the day, I would be having three. I have never been hungry in the mornings and this program does not require me to eat breakfast, which is perfect for me. I have been enjoying my Reward Meal, RM, during the noon hour recently, and it is working out well for both my husband and me. We decided to switch the Complementary Meal to our evening meal because we would rather eat our big meal earlier in the day. Click here to continue reading, or leave a comment »
