2010 - CALP Low Carb Diet Journal

I have been following The Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program for the last twenty one months now. It continues to be a great program for me because I am in complete control over the foods I eat. Chocolate is no longer its own food group in my mind and I can now eat one piece and still be satisfied.

I have made tremendous progress by gaining control over my diet and keeping up with my exercise routine. The weight is coming off slowly, but it is coming off. My body is shaping up nicely and I have muscle definition that is helping me to raise my metabolism and burn the fat.

I have been using this journal to keep my menu and exercises updated on a regular basis. Click here to continue reading, or leave a comment »

2009 - CALP Low Carb Diet Journal

I have been following The Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program for the last nine months now. It is a really great program for me because I get to decide what foods I want to eat. I am eating healthier since I eat a serving of vegetables with every meal and I also have a salad every day. I still get to enjoy my carbohydrate of choice on a daily basis, so I never feel deprived.

My program is more than an eating program for me. The CALP book suggests adding options to their program and I began including exercise as one of those options eight and a half months ago. Click here to continue reading, or leave a comment »

Needing a Fresh Start

Wow, it is almost 2010. For the last 2-3 years of my life I have been searching and battling for a way to lose excess weight and maintain the loss with ease, without being deprived. Through my reading and research (and I have read many many diet/nutrition books) I have come to believe in controlled carbohydrate living. I don't believe anyone but God could change my mind about the benefits of a low-carb lifestyle. I am not afraid of fat, saturated fat, or living without grains and starches.

The problem is that I have a hard time being consistent. I can start a plan and follow it for a few weeks and then I fade. So, I've had to change my attitude. Click here to continue reading, or leave a comment »

Smaller Body Size Requires Less Food

I have lost quite a bit of weight and just now realized that I am eating too much for my new body size. My portion sizes are still what they were when I began following this program, so I have been cutting them down the last couple of days.

I have always known that eating again is as easy as grabbing another CM, but I always felt as if I needed to eat enough to hold me over until my next meal. Since I started this way of eating to lose weight and get myself into better shape, I have decided that changes need to be made. I will now be eating portions relative to my new size!

I will also be making another change to my program, since I feel as if I am in complete control of my sweet tooth now. Click here to continue reading, or leave a comment »

Results of My Nineteenth and Twentieth Months on CALP

I don't know where the time went and since I am two months behind in updating my results, I decided to combine my Nineteenth and Twentieth months in one post. We are now in the holiday season and I keep adding more things to my overwhelming list of things to do.

I began CALP to get myself into better shape and I am happy to say that it is working! I am so pleased that I decided to begin an eating program that I actually discovered was perfect for me. I am also pleased that I decided to add the option of exercise into my program a month later since it seems to be the best addition that I could have possibly made for myself.
