I had a busy day ahead of me and I forgot to step on the scale.

I started my day with two cups of coffee with cream. I had some book work that I need to get done so I worked on it until it was finished.

Since I was going to my folks house, I hopped in the shower and then packed my bags. My husband warmed us up a couple of bowls of his homemade broccoli cheddar soup and I ate a bowl before we left.

My folks house was painted over the weekend so she needed some help putting things back. Because she needed my husband to hook the television,and dvd player up, he took me. We drove the two hours and when we arrived we got busy right away. We continued to work until my dad returned and then we went to dinner.

The restaurant we went to was closed so we followed them to another one. The second place was a taqueria and I ordered a carne asada tostada. This tostada was made with a corn tortilla, beans, cheese, guacamole, lettuce, sour cream, and tomatoes. I munched on tortilla chips and when my meal was finished I wanted an ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery. My husband and I traveled to the creamery and I had a small cup of chocolate dipped strawberry ice cream.

When we returned to my folks house, my husband said his goodbyes and left for home. I resumed with my work of putting things back and finally stopped at 10:30 p.m.

Breakfast: Coffee w/cream
Lunch: Broccoli cheddar soup
Dinner: (Restaurant) carne asada tostada w/beans, cheese, guacamole, lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes on a corn tortilla, tortilla chips & salsa, chocolate ice cream

Carbs: beans, chips, guacamole, tomatoes, tortilla, ice cream
Protein: beef, cheese
Vegetables: broccoli, lettuce
Other: cream, sour cream
Beverages: coffee, water

Excellent broccoli soup!

Thanks for posting the broccoli soup recipe. It's great! I've made it twice now. It makes a great lunch that I've taken to work several times,
Fortunately, it's also a very forgiving recipe. Neither time did I follow the instructions exactly, and the second time I completely left out the butter, which I couldn't even tell. It turned out fine.
Definitely a new staple in my CALP menus! :-)

Low Carb, High Fat, Protein, & Vegetables!

I think this recipe of broccoli cheddar soup is an excellent meal too. As a matter of fact, I like it so much that this will be the third day in a row that I will be having it for my dinner and I am even looking forward to it!

I started my weight loss program on March 3, 2008, and at that time I was unable to get into the largest pair of jeans I owned, size 18W.
