11.14.13, Low Carb Diet Journal

My weight is down three quarters of a pound and I weighed 141-3/4 lbs. this morning.

I still had some decaf coffee leftover from last night so I enjoyed the two cups that were left with heavy whipping cream. Since I knew it would not be enough, I made me another pot. I don't know how many cups I drank this morning but I did add heavy whipping cream to each one.

I have been avoiding exercise this last week and I really want to get myself back into the habit so I put on my workout clothes, grabbed my Walk Away the Pounds Power Walk DVD, grabbed my two pound hand weights, and got started. I completed all three miles.

My husband smoked a chicken on the barbecue and when it was ready, I began making my salad. I did not have enough lettuce To make two salads so my husband had broccoli with his chicken. I ate my salad first since my chicken breast and wing were too hot to eat. The chicken was cooked to perfection and I enjoyed every single bite.

When it came time for dinner, I was not hungry. I still had some decaf coffee left from earlier so my husband made me the remaining one and a quarter cups and added heavy whipping cream to both of them. He placed the two empanadillas that he defrosted a couple of days ago into the toaster oven and when they were warm he offered me one. Since I am still trying to follow my hunger instead of eating because it is time, I declined.

I'm Teri and I am 54 years old. I have been fighting my weight since I was fourteen, dieting my way all the way up to 236 lbs. I started my weight loss program on March 3, 2008, and at that time I was unable to get into the largest pair of jeans I owned, size 18W. I have lost close to 100 pounds, and I now wear a size 4 jeans. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I could have ever imagined and I did it without starving or depriving myself in any way.

I am getting myself into better shape and my goal of becoming fit and healthy is getting closer every day.
