9.15.13, Low Carb Diet Journal

My weight dropped a quarter of a pound and I weighed 141-3/4 lbs. this morning. Because of all the cookies I ate yesterday I did not expect to see a loss, but I'll take it!

My back is still sore but it seems to be getting better each and every day. I am still resting, doing as little as possible, and I am not hunching over anymore when I get up to walk to the bathroom.

I enjoyed two and a half cups of decaf coffee with cream this morning. I would have had more if there was any. Since I am trying not to drink too much, I did not have my husband make me another pot. As soon as I finished my coffee, I began drinking my water for the day.

My husband defrosted a couple of pork chops for our lunch. I was going to make us each a salad but we still had some broccoli leftover so we decided to eat it. My husband seasoned our pork chops with salt and pepper and fried them in a cast iron pan of bacon grease. He also warmed up the broccoli and after adding my portion to a small bowl, he poured melted butter over it. I enjoyed my meal of a pork chop and broccoli and instead of eating more of my homemade oatmeal craisin cookies, my husband defrosted the last piece of homemade cranberry nut bread that I made with coconut flour. He defrosted it and then toasted it before smearing it with butter and serving it to me. My meal was simple, but superb!

When it came time for dinner, I was feeling a bit hungry. Instead of eating another meal and possibly overeating because my hunger always seems to get worse when I begin, I asked my husband to make me a fresh pot of decaf coffee. I enjoyed three cups with cream and it took care of the hunger I was experiencing. As long as I am not hungry, I do well!

About me

I'm Teri and I am 54 years old. I have been fighting my weight since I was fourteen, dieting my way all the way up to 236 lbs. I started my weight loss program on March 3, 2008, and at that time I was unable to get into the largest pair of jeans I owned, size 18W. I have lost close to 100 pounds, and I now wear a size 4 jeans. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I could have ever imagined and I did it without starving or depriving myself in any way.

I am getting myself into better shape and my goal of becoming fit and healthy is getting closer every day.
