When I left the casino yesterday, I noticed I was losing my voice. I thought it was because of the smoke I was inhaling, but this morning when I woke up my nose was stuffed up. Unfortunately, I believe I caught a cold.

My husband made two kinds of soup this morning. He made his favorite, Toscano, and some chicken vegetable for my mom and me. I chose to have soup instead of salad for lunch and it was exactly what I needed. Since there was not enough protein in my soup, I warmed up a leftover pork chop and ate that too. It has been a week since I have had any chocolate so today was the day I added it to my menu. I only had one piece left and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I spent my day lounging around. My mom suggested we shell walnuts, so I went to my storage room and filled a grocery bag about half full. I ended up filling up two large jars full of shelled walnuts and placed them in my freezer. I will be making my mom some milk chocolate covered walnuts tomorrow and not worry about making my dark chocolate almond bark until the end of the week since I don't plan on eating it again until Sunday.

I did not want to go outside again, but I did leave my house long enough to feed my animals. Even though it was afternoon, it was still chilly outside. I returned to the house as soon as I could and never walked outside again.

My husband made my mom and him some chicken tacos for dinner but I had already eaten my carbohydrates during my noon meal so I heated myself up another pork chop that was leftover from the day before. I was babysitting my granddaughter and she stayed in her activity center while I ate it. She interrupted my dinner when she became ready for a bottle and a nap, and since she comes first, I did not bother making myself a vegetable to go along with it.

Since I did not have enough energy to do a workout, I skipped it for the day.

About me

I'm Teri and I am 54 years old. I have been fighting my weight since I was fourteen, dieting my way all the way up to 236 lbs. I started my weight loss program on March 3, 2008, and at that time I was unable to get into the largest pair of jeans I owned, size 18W. I have lost close to 100 pounds, and I now wear a size 4 jeans. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I could have ever imagined and I did it without starving or depriving myself in any way.

I am getting myself into better shape and my goal of becoming fit and healthy is getting closer every day.
