My Day
My day began at 7:30 a.m., and even though I went to bed later than usual, I felt well rested. I made my coffee and sat down to catch up with my email and support groups. I knew I was going to go with my 23 year old daughter to a doctors appointment she had at 11:45 a.m., so I got busy updating my journal. I submitted my daily journal as well as updated my support groups with my food choices from the day before.
I began my exercise workout by 9:15 a.m., knowing that it was going to take me 45 minutes to get it done. I watched some tennis and then it was time for me to get ready to go pick up my daughter for her appointment. The appointment went well and as soon as we were done I dropped her off at her house and went to WalMart.
I decided to get some new jeans since mine are getting baggy on me as soon I put them on. I thought that the only reason I was able to get into my size 14s were because they were stretched out, so I took five different brands/styles of size 16s into the dressing room with me. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered every single pair were too big.
I was so excited to go out and get the same five brands/styles in a size 14 to try on. Every single pair fit, some better than others, and not one pair was too tight. I bought a few different brands and brought them home to see what my 19 year old daughter thought of them. There were two different brands that we both liked and since I bought both of them in black, I may buy them in blue when I return the others. I would like to get by with the two pair that I bought, but I know I will be in them for a few months and don't think it is possible to only have two pair of jeans.
I am sure that some of you can relate to my excitement of getting into a smaller size. I could not even get into an 18W before I began CALP. When I was finally able to get into them, I was thrilled. My excitement grew when I was able to get into a size 16M and now I know I can get into any size 14M brand, since I tried most of them on.
I have made the decision to become successful in my weight loss journey by exercising and sticking to CALP. In order to remain positive, I no longer need to keep any clothes that are too big for me and have been handing them down to my sister.
I was hoping to have salmon for dinner but my husband got home late and I didn't feel like eating at 9:30 p.m. I told my daughter that I was making a shrimp salad for dinner and she thought it sounded pretty good to her so she had me make one for her too. My husband found something for him to eat so everyone that was home had dinner.
I am going in for my varicose vein surgery in the morning. Since exercise has become a very important part of my weight loss journey, I have been trying to come up with a few different options I will be able to do. I will not know what surgery I will be having until after the procedure since he is going to try the Vnus closure first. If it doesn't work he said he is going to strip the vein while I am still under anesthesia. My plan for tomorrow is to get up early enough to get my Bowflex workout done before I take the hour and forty five minute drive to the hospital. My surgery is not scheduled until 1 p.m., but they want me at the hospital by 11 a.m. I am not allowed to eat or drink anything after midnight tonight and that means I don't get my two cups of coffee tomorrow. I am used to starting my day with coffee and then as soon as I am done with it, I begin drinking my water for the day. It is going to be a very long morning for me without coffee or water.
Wish me luck!
