This is the last day that I am willing to drink Lipton tea. I am noticing that my menopause symptoms are returning so I am going to try and switch to a tea with less caffeine and see if my symptoms go away. I am going to give it a couple of weeks and see if oolong or green tea has the same effect on me, and if my symptoms continue, I will switch back to having my two cups of coffee every morning.

The exercise that was scheduled for the day was one of my WATP, four mile workouts. This particular workout takes about fifty five minutes and it seems to be faster paced than some of the others. There are a few moves on this workout that are different than any of the other WATP workouts, and I like the variety.

My husband makes a delicious Chinese dish called cashew chicken. I made our salads while he prepared the chicken dish. My salad consisted of two cups of romaine lettuce, three quarters of an avocado, one slice of chopped bacon, two stalks of chopped celery, a small amount of cheddar-jack cheese, one third of a cucumber, and three tablespoons of homemade ranch dressing. The cashew chicken is normally served over rice, but I skipped the rice because I wanted some raspberry-chocolate ice cream that we had in our freezer. I added two small scoops in a small bowl and really enjoyed the tart of the raspberry and sweet of the chocolate bits which made the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

Our dinner was the leftover chicken from the night before. My husband warmed up the chicken and I ended up eating the remaining breast and wing. He also opened a can of green beans and drained the liquid. I divided them into two bowls and added the last of our homemade vinaigrette dressing to mine. My meal was delicious and I was completely satisfied with another one of my meals.

About me

I'm Teri and I am 54 years old. I have been fighting my weight since I was fourteen, dieting my way all the way up to 236 lbs. I started my weight loss program on March 3, 2008, and at that time I was unable to get into the largest pair of jeans I owned, size 18W. I have lost close to 100 pounds, and I now wear a size 4 jeans. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I could have ever imagined and I did it without starving or depriving myself in any way.

I am getting myself into better shape and my goal of becoming fit and healthy is getting closer every day.
