I am having a better time sticking to my new schedule and since I am a creature of habit, it works out well. I am having no problems with giving up coffee almost four weeks ago and the tea that I have been replacing it with has been working out fine. I have noticed that both tea and coffee make me thirsty so they help me get started on my water sooner.

It is always up to me to get started with our Bowflex exercises, so that is what I did. I usually begin my Callanetics workout when my husband gets started on his two Bowflex exercises, but I was busy doing other things and put it off until later. Since completing a Bowflex exercise can be a lot of work, it is not a fun exercise that I enjoy doing. Since the benefits outweigh the work, it is something that I plan to continue three days a week.

I began my lunch by cleaning the romaine lettuce. After cutting it up, I added about two cups to a plate and added a slice of chopped bacon, a small amount of cheddar-jack cheese, and some home made ranch dressing. We had some chile verde in the freezer so my husband defrosted some for our lunch. I did not have any vegetables to add to my salad so my choice of vegetable was broccoli. My husband steamed the broccoli and when it was finished, he added some to a dish and added butter. He also made my chile verde burrito and even though I have been eating a lot of pork lately, it was delicious. I wanted another piece of my cake before I gave it all away but I was not too pleased with my scale popping up from the piece I had the day before. I had already eaten a tortilla as a part of my meal, so my piece of cake was quite a bit smaller than the one I had the day before. It was just as good as I remembered and the perfect end to another satisfying Reward Meal.

Callanetics can be rather relaxing, but it takes awhile to complete. I like the results of this workout and will continue with my three days a week schedule. The video takes about an hour, but I am not in the habit of using it these days. I know the routine and prefer to do it on my own time since I usually work it between my Bowflex exercises. Callanetics takes me close to an hour to complete on my own and when I work the Bowflex into it, it takes me even longer.

My husband found some chicken in cream sauce in the freezer so he defrosted a dish for our dinner. My husband and I both like leftovers and you will see plenty of them on our menus. He dished me up a chicken fillet and a chicken tender while I opened a can of green beans. I divided them into two bowls after draining the liquid and poured some home made vinaigrette dressing over mine. I devoured my meal and could have eaten more. Since there was no more chicken and I did not want to make anything else, I decided I was satisfied and cleaned up the mess.

About me

I'm Teri and I am 54 years old. I have been fighting my weight since I was fourteen, dieting my way all the way up to 236 lbs. I started my weight loss program on March 3, 2008, and at that time I was unable to get into the largest pair of jeans I owned, size 18W. I have lost close to 100 pounds, and I now wear a size 4 jeans. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I could have ever imagined and I did it without starving or depriving myself in any way.
