My husband made us a pot of oolong tea which I thoroughly enjoyed and I was able to drink two cups before I got started on our Bowflex workout. I was able to get some of my Callanetics workout done whenever it was not my turn on the Bowflex but I still had over half of my Callanetics workout left to do when we finished. Since it was close to lunch time and I was hungry, I put off the remainder of my Callanetics workout until later.

My husband took some chile verde out of the freezer the day before and I was in the mood for a chile verde burrito. We had some cashew chicken leftover from the day before and I saved it for my husband so he could have that and some of the leftover chile verde on the two days that I would not be home. The reason I wanted a chile verde burrito was because it went well with the homemade flour tortilla chips that I really wanted. I began our meal by making a couple of salads and mine had two cups of romaine lettuce, three quarters of an avocado, one slice of chopped bacon, three stalks of chopped celery, a small amount of cheddar-jack shredded cheese, one third of a chopped cucumber, and three tablespoons of homemade ranch. I ate about twelve or fourteen flour tortilla chips that I dipped in the salsa before devouring my chile verde burrito. When I finished my burrito, I felt satisfied and did not even grab another tortilla chip like I was tempted to do.

I remembered that I still had the rest of my Callanetics workout to get done, so I finished it before dinner.

My husband had a lot of suggestions for dinner, but the only thing that sounded good to me was steak. He defrosted two small New York steaks and since it was raining and I did not want him to have to barbecue, he fried them in a pan of bacon grease. He sliced the cabbage as thin as he could and added some homemade mayonnaise, salt, and pepper to it. I fixed my plate with the cabbage salad and steak, and loved every single bite.

About me

I'm Teri and I am 54 years old. I have been fighting my weight since I was fourteen, dieting my way all the way up to 236 lbs. I started my weight loss program on March 3, 2008, and at that time I was unable to get into the largest pair of jeans I owned, size 18W. I have lost close to 100 pounds, and I now wear a size 4 jeans. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I could have ever imagined and I did it without starving or depriving myself in any way.

I am getting myself into better shape and my goal of becoming fit and healthy is getting closer every day.
